[NEWS] [ENG] 120821 F.CUZ-B.A.P More Popular Overseas... K-Pop 'NewLeaders'
In Taiwan – where Super Junior ranked first on the top online music site ‘KKBOX’ for 116 weeks in a row – F.CUZ and B.A.P have become the rising K-Pop stars.
They are actually more popular here than in Korea, so their potential and abilities are being newly noticed. Omitted non-B.A.P part B.A.P ranked first on Taiwan’s ‘g-music’ K-Pop Weekly chart with ‘NO MERCY,’ released July 19th. They have been first for five weeks in a row. They have also recently entered a German Asian Music Chart at first. They beat Psy’s ‘Gangnam Style,’ B2ST, Super Junior, 2NE1, Xiah Junsu, etc. Since their debut, both ‘WARRIOR’ and ‘POWER’ never failed to enter the ‘Top 4’ on Germany’s Asian Music Monthly Chart. Thus, B.A.P has proven themselves as this year’s outstanding rookies. Them receiving recognition on a foreign chart implies many positive meaning. On broadcast performances, they are pushed out by singers from big agencies and with the audition craze, singers from smaller agencies who find it difficult to fit in have found a solution. Sung Shikwon – a music critic – said, “In the midst of this flood of idol groups, it’s difficult to even have a chance to have one’s abilities acknowledges. I applaud them for their venture into a larger world during a difficult situation and meeting success.”
